Charissa's Background
Charissa's experience includes working in crisis intervention where she conducted emergency room mental health assessments and participated on high school emergency response teams in Southern Pennsylvania. After moving to California, she worked in public health, managing over 30 grant-funded programs addressing a range of issues from childhood nutrition to drug, alcohol and tobacco use prevention. Charissa was then hired to serve as the Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving in San Diego County.

The next evolution of Charissa's career path included the environmental and municipal sectors, where she primarily worked to develop and manage employee engagement programs, community involvement activities, public relations, and the municipal contracting of environmental services programs. She then joined a California-based consulting firm and became a partner, offering strategic consulting and coaching throughout the United States.

After moving to Tennessee, Charissa looked for opportunities to reengage in mental health services and more specifically, to return to working one-on-one with clients. She decided to pursue a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. Now, Charissa brings her unique blend of education and experience in service of the individuals, couples and families she serves.

Charissa has been married for 24 years and is the mother of a high schooler. She enjoys reading, gardening, drinking coffee, and feeding the family's three cats.
